21 March 2023, Kuwait: As part of its ongoing initiatives to enhance riders safety and satisfaction in Kuwait, Deliveroo invited a number of its champions to attend a live educational session presented by the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) prior to the start of the holy month of Ramadan.
The educational awareness program provided valuable information on healthy food habits and best practices to ensure their health and wellness throughout the month, as well as steps to staying safe during heat exhaustion.
The program, led by medical doctors with over two decades of experience, highlighted the significance of adequate hydration during Ramadan, and offered useful tips on how to measure and consume the recommended amount of water and beverages between sunset and sunrise. Additionally, the program outlined suitable food choices for iftar and suggested which foods would be better avoided during Suhour.
Presented in both English and Arabic, the session also reminded riders of safety tips especially during summer, and including the importance of wearing the proper rider kits and following bike box regulations.
"We would like to thank the Kuwait Red Crescent Society for their ongoing partnership throughout the year. It has been a pleasure collaborating with the KRCS as part of our collective efforts to pursue riders safety and satisfaction," said Seham AlHusaini, Deliveroo's General Manager. "Deliveroo is committed to empowering our riders through periodic safety and awareness training programs, and we would like to thank all our riders for their efforts throughout the year — particularly during Ramadan and we would like to wish them all a blessed month.”
"Our ongoing partnership with Deliveroo is a reflection of both parties' commitment to rider safety and welfare in Kuwait," said Manhal Al Anezei, the Director of Medical Services and Training at the Kuwait Red Crescent Society. "We hope every rider benefits from the Ramadan awareness program, and we would like to wish everyone a Ramadan Kareem."
