28 January 2023, Kuwait: Deliveroo has partnered with the Ministry of Interior (MOI) to offer ongoing road safety training sessions to its riders. During the training, the MOI helped provide additional safety training for Deliveroo riders, educating riders on road safety tactics and providing participants with an overview of new traffic laws and regulations.
The training session, led by the MOI in partnership with Deliveroo, was held in the Civil Defence venue at Al-Zahra on Jan. 22.
"We would like to thank the Ministry of Interior for providing additional road safety training as part of our collective efforts in pursuit of safer driving in Kuwait," said Seham AlHusaini, Deliveroo's General Manager. "Deliveroo is pleased to provide regular training to our riders as part of our ongoing commitment to road safety. We would also like to thank our riders for taking part in this training, and we hope to continue to empower them to uphold only the highest standards of safety while on the road.”
"We are excited to partner with Deliveroo to offer additional road safety training to local riders," said Colonel Nawaf Al-Hayyan, the Head of the Public Relations and Traffic Awareness Department at the General Traffic Department: "We are delighted to help riders around the country enhance their safety training, and we look forward to collaborating with Deliveroo on more training sessions in the future.”
Deliveroo is committed to ensuring that riders undergo regular training throughout the year. Last year, Deliveroo partnered with the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) to offer road safety training sessions to its riders. Recently, Deliveroo riders also underwent first aid training in partnership with the KRCS and received training in emergency response tactics and how to administer life-saving first aid.
Deliveroo launched in Kuwait four years ago, and has set itself apart with its unbeatable customer service, wide selection of global & local restaurants, and consistently reliable delivery.
