Kuwait, 11 March 2026: Deliveroo has launched “Roo-Turning the Favour”, an initiative developed in partnership with the Kuwait Food Bank to support and recognise the dedication of riders who continue to serve communities across Kuwait, not only during a challenging period but also throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
As part of the initiative, Deliveroo employees joined forces with the Kuwait Food Bank to distribute thousands of grocery kits containing essential household items to all Deliveroo riders. This initiative recognises the vital role riders play in ensuring customers across the country continue to have access to food, groceries, and everyday essentials throughout Ramadan. Each grocery kit includes a selection of staple items such as chickpeas, lentils, flour, rice, oil, sugar, and salt, along with everyday pantry essentials including tea, milk powder, tomato paste, pasta, canned food, dates, spices, and biscuits, offering a balanced mix of ready-to-eat items and ingredients commonly used to prepare meals. Yazan Aburaqabeh, Director of Operations at Deliveroo, “Riders play a vital role in ensuring communities have access to food and essential groceries, particularly during Ramadan, all while adhering to government guidelines and prioritising their safety at this challenging period. Their dedication and resilience inspire us every day. Through our partnership with the Kuwait Food Bank, we are proud to provide practical support and express our heartfelt appreciation for their unwavering commitment.’’ In addition to supporting riders, Deliveroo continues its collaboration with Kuwait Food Bank to distribute thousands of Iftar meals to communities across the country, ensuring those in need have access to nutritious meals throughout the holy month. This initiative builds on Deliveroo’s long-standing commitment to supporting both riders and the wider community, reflecting the company’s dedication to delivering practical support and showing appreciation for the people who make its services possible.
