Deliveroo Kuwait Unveils Summer Ordering Trends

Kuwait – 20 July 2025 – As summer sets in across Kuwait, Deliveroo shares insights into how consumer preferences adapt with the season, highlighting local dining habits. From refreshing drinks to hearty meals, four key trends have emerged based on Deliveroo data.

Refreshing Beverages Refreshing beverages (like smoothies, juices, lemonades, and iced teas) saw a 40% increase, reflecting a clear pivot in consumer cravings toward hydration and fruity summer flavors. This summer, iced coffee from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf topped the charts as Kuwait’s mid-day go-to, followed closely by PICK’s fro-yo and the beloved iced matcha latte from Caribou Coffee. Laban drinks, like Monasabat’s laban, also made frequent appearances in customers’ baskets.

Hot & Hearty: Comfort Foods Still Rule Despite the summer weather, hearty meals never go out of style. The lunch crowd showed a strong love for tradition with dishes like chicken machboos from Freej Swaeleh, lamb neck machboos from Akelna Mahyouf, and biryani from Biryani Express leading the charge. Fereej Suwaileh’s classic majbous chicken and Mais Al Ghanim’s all-in-one lunch box proved that rich, filling meals are still a staple in summer. There was also room for fusion flavors with Ananas’s ribs and okra, butter curry from The Cardamom Club, and flavorful kobida meat from Kabab Shams.

Lighter Options: For those craving something light, Joe & The Juice’s spicy tuna sandwich remains a popular choice. Lighter bites like hummus from Tabel and mango salad from Ananas made for breezy lunch picks, and JOA’s customizable options let customers build their own refreshing poke bowls.

Sweet Tooths Sweet tooths also weren’t forgotten. PICK’s gooey chocolate cookie remained a top midday treat, while Baskin Robbins’ single scoop cups proved that there’s no age limit on ice cream joy.

As Deliveroo continues to analyze trends and support partner restaurants, this summer report offers valuable insight into what keeps customers coming back, even when the heat is at its peak.
