04 December 2022, Kuwait: Deliveroo has released the results of a survey measuring locals’ favorite food and snacking preferences in honor of the 2022 World Cup. Finger foods and snacks made the top of the list, with popcorn and pizza both reigning king, and chips and dips coming in third.
“We are incredibly excited to be bringing people that much closer to the foods they know and love, especially during the World Cup, a time that brings both football lovers and their families and friends together,” said Seham AlHusaini, general manager of Deliveroo in Kuwait. “We look forward to sharing in our customers’ joyful moments and creating even more memories together over our favorite snacks and meals.”
Hands-on Approach While watching football, locals prefer a more hands-on approach to their favorite snacks. According to the survey, 37% of people prefer snacking on popcorn while watching football, 34% prefer eating pizza, and 12% prefer chips and dips.
Meal Planners Locals also tend to enjoy planning their meals and perusing delivery apps before settling on their orders. According to the survey, 21% of people said it takes them 5-10 minutes to decide what to eat while ordering through a delivery app, while 45% indicated that it could take them anywhere between 10-20 minutes.
As for the type of meal that results in the most indecision, lunch is typically the meal that takes people the longest to decide, followed by dinner, and then breakfast.
When asked about their state of mind after ordering from an app, locals are evenly split in terms of their reactions: 43% indicated that they are typically calm, while 38% indicated that they are typically either excited or eagerly anticipating their meal orders.
With hundreds of options to choose from on Deliveroo, one thing is for certain: everyone is bound to stumble upon a new favorite.
To order from your favorite local restaurants and more, download the Deliveroo application from the App Store (for iOS devices) and Google Play (for Android devices).
